The Historic Chapel Concert Venue

The Historic Chapel

It is estimated that this church was built in 1834 at Bath Center.  Around 1870, it was moved from Bath Center to a hilltop west of Bath Village, then called Hammond Corners. Muddy roads to the hilltop proved to be inconvenient to church-goers so the church was moved again in 1898 to Bath Village on Ira Road. In 1944, fundraising began to build a new church. The harsh financial realities after World War II led to the decision to move the church and renovate it. The move to its current location took place on July 13, 1949. Additional photos of the chapel throughout history can be found in the foyer to the sanctuary.

The Sanctuary Concert Venue

The Sanctuary

After a number of building expansions to serve the growing congregation, ground was broken on May 25, 2003, to build the current sanctuary. The new sanctuary was dedicated on October 13, 2004. Concert seating is available on the main floor and in the balcony. The 2,300 handmade pipes of the Schantz Pipe organ are prominently displayed in the sanctuary. It has 3 keyboards and produces 33 different types of sound. Installation was completed in November 2004.

The Lawn Concert Venue

The Lawn

The expansive front lawn will serve as the home of the summer lawn concert series. Bring a chair or picnic blanket and enjoy the music! In case of inclement weather on scheduled dates, performances will be moved indoors to Fellowship Hall (built in 1992) which is located across the parking lot behind the church.

Fellowship Hall Concert Venue

Fellowship Hall

The construction of Fellowship Hall was completed in 1992.  In the late 1990’s, the congregation outgrew the old sanctuary and started worshiping in Fellowship Hall until the fall of 2004.  This facility is well equipped with a very large multi-purpose room, stage, commercial kitchen, restrooms, small conference room and children’s play area.  It is used by the church for special events, recreational activities and more.  The concert series uses this facility as its inclement weather back-up facility for the summer lawn concerts and for select ensembles during the regular season.
